For more than forty years, Hirschmann has been offering control solutions, user-friendly displays and sensors to the aftermarket and OEM’s worldwide. In 1978, PAT America was incorporated and became the exclusive distributor for three technologically advanced product lines that were developed and manufactured in Germany. The product lines included traffic monitoring systems, information and monitoring systems for mobile construction equipment, and cylinder form measurement devices. PAT continued its plan for growth in 1996 by acquiring Krueger Systems LP located in Rockford, Illinois. Krueger added additional expertise in the area of crane operator aids. In 1997, PAT became a subsidiary of Aditron, a Rheinmetall company and was later acquired by HG Capital and renamed Hirschmann in 2004.
In 2007, Hirschmann was acquired by Belden, Inc. and is currently located in Chambersburg, PA. Hirschmann’s Mobile Machine Control Solutions (MCS) division is a leading manufacturer of control systems, load moment indicators, wireless indicators, and sensors for mobile equipment. Their extensive product portfolio is marketed under the brand names of HIRSCHMANN, PAT, and KRüGER. Hirschmann currently has production facilities in Germany, China, the Czech Republic and the US, and is continuously developing innovative technology that meets the requirements of the mobile construction equipment market.
Starting in 2002, Crane Warning Systems Inc. became one of Hirschmann’s specially selected Premier Dealers for retrofit systems and service parts for a wide range of Cranes. Our shared focus to adapt the various Hirschmann retrofit parts and systems out to our wide scope of clientele has earned us Hirschmann’s Top Sales Award for North America six years in a row. The superior quality and performance of the PAT Hirschmann product line makes it an easy seller to the consumer. The product support and reliability is top notch. We look forward to the continued sales of this wide range of retrofit products as well as the new product lines coming out to the market soon.
